These two luxury properties in Canada aimed to achieve higher conversion rate and direct bookings to reduce dependency on OTAs. Providing an elegant design and a customized online booking experience for guests was crucial to achieving this goal.

About The Properties

Entourage sur-le-Lac Resort in Québec is for travelers looking for everything nature has to offer. The resort sprawls over nearly five acres, with 375 feet of shoreline along the magnificent Lac-Beauport. It’s an enchanting site that has been a highly popular tourist destination since 1879. It offers the highest-quality accommodation across 166 rooms, suites and penthouses, along with sports facilities and restaurant services.


Le Bonne Entente is a five-star luxury hotel offering exclusive services for the perfect getaway in Québec City. It is the ideal place to enjoy the leisure and activities of the city, whether the purpose of the trip is business or pleasure. Le Bonne Entente offers 160 rooms including 60 luxurious sites, many of which have a view of the hotel’s magnificent gardens.


Entourage sur-le-Lac and Le Bonne Entente are managed by the same company and overseen together by the General Manager. The teams at both properties work together to reflect the luxury experience of their brands throughout their online guest journey.

The Challenges

Having recently transitioned to Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Property Management System, Entourage sur-le-Lac and Le Bonne Entente were in need of a new booking engine that could provide a full connection with their new PMS and effectively utilize the benefits of Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP)


Ultimately, the hotels aimed to achieve higher conversion rate and increase bookings through their direct booking engine, consequently reducing dependency on OTAs. Providing an elegant design and a customized online booking experience for guests was crucial to achieving this goal.

The Solution

The team at Entourage sur-le-Lac and Le Bonne Entente chose P3 based on the recommendation from our partners at Hotelus, who were searching for a booking engine provider with the best integration with OPERA Cloud to deliver higher conversion rates. P3 understood that the properties necessitated new booking engine systems that would fit seamlessly with OPERA Cloud through OHIP and maintain the look & feel of their brand for an enhanced user experience. 


We all worked together to launch the hotels' new booking engines. Initially, we implemented the P3 Essential product, our quick and simple solution, to ensure integration with OPERA would happen in the desired timeframe. Once the P3 Essential booking engines were up and running, we dedicated time to design and build their P3 Custom booking engines, our fully customized solution beautifully designed to mirror the look & feel of their websites.




One of the special features that we created is a customized lightbox that lists all the activities offered at the hotels. The booking engines are multi-lingual, with multi-currency options and with larger images to highlight their beautiful location.

What's Coming Next

The next step of the projects with Entourage sur-le-Lac and Le Bonne Entente properties will be to develop a direct booking strategy with special features (such as mobile and loyalty discounts) so that we can leverage the goal of competing against OTAs and earn even more direct bookings.
