Kiosk's "Collect Your Key" Functionality

Allow guests who check-in online to collect their own room keys in less than a minute through the kiosk system, skipping the front desk queue. Travellers who choose to check-in online no longer need to be at the mercy of front desk queues. They can head straight for a self-service kiosk, issue their own keys, and be on the way to their room in less than a minute.

Self Check-in Process

Guests start the self check-in by entering their reservation details into the kiosk terminal to retrieve the booking from OPERA.

They see a summary of their reservation details including the room type, the total amount due at check-in, and any city taxes or resort fees which may be applicable.

Additional guest names can be added to the reservation along with add-ons such as breakfast or dinner options.

Guests will be required to pay upfront or pre-authorise their credit card using the Payment Terminal with chip and pin.

After completing the payment, they can cut their keys by placing room key cards on an Assa Abloy or Dormakaba integrated key encoder.

Self Check-out Process

Guests can self check-out by entering their last name and room number on the kiosk screen.

The guest folio is retrieved from OPERA and guests can review the summary of their bill including any additional on-property purchases made during their stay.

If there is an unpaid balance, they will be requested to settle payment using the Payment Terminal integrated with the kiosk.

After the payment is completed, guests can either print their bill or request an electronic invoice to be sent by email.

Guests will be automatically checked out in OPERA updating the housekeeping staff that the room is now ready to be cleaned.

Payment Terminal to Chip & Pin Cards for Self Check-in/out

Credit Card Payment Integration

During the Self Check-in process, the P3 server sends a request to OPERA to initiate a card pre-authorisation through Oracle Payment Integration on a designated Payment Terminal.

The guest then follows the instructions on the Payment Terminal to chip and pin their credit card transaction, reducing the risk of fraudulent card use.

The Self Check-in/Check-out Software is integrated securely with every major payment services provider.

Encourage Guests To Purchase Add-Ons

Guests can include Package Add-Ons to their reservation during the self check-in process such as breakfast, late check-out and room upgrades.

Any items will be automatically added to the reservation in OPERA and will be charged at the time of check-in.

The package titles, descriptions and imagery is editable using P3’s backoffice CMS. The package pricing and handling rules are pulled from OPERA in real-time, making it simple for your staff to manage package add-ons directly from OPERA.

This is an opportunity to enhance the guest stay and build ancillary revenue.
