Britannia Hotels is a recognisable brand with 61 hotels across the UK in all possible locations: close to the airport, to the beach, or surrounded by a stunning countryside. The group is well-known for its affordable and comfort accommodations.

The Challenge

Britannia Hotels needed to streamline processes for their staff and deliver a frictionless online experience for their guests.


For this reason, they switched their online platforms to integrated solutions that could work toward their goal and match their renewed brand identity. Moreover, the group was looking for a booking engine provider that could integrate seamlessly with their Oracle Opera (OWS) system.

Security was also a key element for Britannia in order to increase the hotel's reliability and ensure guest confidence in the booking process. Therefore, they were looking for a provider with PCI-DSS level 1 compliance.

The Solution

After understanding Britannia Hotels' needs and requirements, P3 designed and built a customised website and booking engine system that best showcases their brand identity and simplifies the booking process for their users, especially in the payment section.

UX Design and site speed optimisation were key elements to strengthen the hotel's online presence on search engines and to make the booking journey easier and more intuitive for bookers.

The group was also happy with P3 PCI-DSS Compliance and with our extensive knowledge in Opera OWS to help the hotel staff get the best support on an ongoing basis for their booking engine.

The Results

Britannia Hotels has now an integrated system that connects their website, booking engine and OPERA PMS system. The new booking engine was designed, developed and launched within 9 months; it was an agile and fast responsive development.
